Dear Value Client,
First, as you are all aware, the federal stimulus funding checks or direct deposits have just recently started hitting tax payers accounts or has been showing as deposited on the Internal Revenue Services website (IRS). This has led to many of you to call and inquire about your stimulus payments. Unfortunately, the IRS has sent over 300,000 stimulus deposits to our tax bank in ERROR. These payments were to be paid directly to the taxpayers as this is NOT a tax refund and our tax banks will NOT process these funds. The IRS has instructed our bank to send all funds back to the IRS which the bank (Refund Advantage) is currently doing. Unfortunately, this will delay the stimulus checks from being received by the taxpayers at no fault to Tru Tax.
Secondly, please know that this has nothing to do with Tru Tax and the great service that we are known to offer. Further, we apologize for not being able to come to the expectations you all have for us. The COVID-19 Pandemic is wreaking havoc on the American people- in much the same way as the pandemic stimulus package is being processed without clear processing instructions for those who are forced to process, pay, and/or discuss the entire process of the payout.
Finally, while this stimulus funding offers a great deal of support for all taxpayers who are struggling, we have not been given the proper infrastructure to process these payments. So therefore we are NOT handling nor processing the payouts of this federal stimulus payout. In response to all of your inquires, we are sending this correspondence, to not only inform you on our stance as a company, but to assure you that we have not, nor will not receive nor keep any funds received by the IRS. For further verification, please contact our Settlement company bank, Refund Advantage at (800) 967-4934.
